Become a BYU ASCE Officer!

Hello everyone!

This coming Thursday, March 30th, we will be holding ASCE Officer Elections. This is an amazing way to get involved, serve the students in the department, and help link faculty and students this upcoming year. You can be self nominated or nominate someone else.  To nominate (self or other), please send an email to byuasce@gmail.com expressing either your own interest, or nominating who you think would be a good officer. 

Requirements to run:

- be currently enrolled in the Civil Engineering major through winter of 2018

- be willing to meet once a week during fall and winter semesters for an hour, and help with ASCE sponsored events

- Create a powerpoint presentation that (a) introduces yourself, and (b) tells the students in seminar, why you should be elected as an ASCE Officer. You will have no more than 5 minutes to present about yourself, comedy and treats are encouraged :) 

- Send your powerpoint presentation to byuasce@gmail.com by midnight, Wednesday March 29th.

For a list of officer roles, visit the officers page on the blog.  You do not run for a specific position, if elected, your position will be figured out later.
