Capital One EARTQUAKE Competition (ACTIVITY
POINT and MONEY)
Can you think on your feet? Can you work well
with others? Do you like cash prizes? Join Capital One for EARTHQUAKE, a
real-time, analytically-driven simulation competition!
The Competition: There’s been an earthquake. People need help...FAST! Can your team execute an effective disaster relief solution before it’s too late? Work as a team to strategize, adapt, and optimize resources in a time-pressured environment.
Who: Teams of 2-4
When: Friday, March 7, 2014 at noon
Where: WSC 3223

The Prizes:
$125 toward each member of the winning team
$500 toward the organization with the most participants

Technical Paper: Rocky
Mountain Conference
There have been zero
submissions for Technical paper for Rock Mountain Conference. It is due Saturday March 8th.
If you submit you are
likely to receive awards of $100, $50, and $25 for the winners of each type
of paper.
We MUST have a
Technical paper submitted for Steel Bridge or Concrete Canoe to go to
Nationals!

ASCE Webinar
Structural Engineers
Institue (SEI) will sponsor an ASCE Webinar on March 6, 2014 at 7 p.m. in CS 404, Utah
Valley University. The webinar is open to all ASCE members and students. Also
sponsored by ASCE's Architectural Engineering Institute. It will last one hour
and there could be professionals there to network with. For more information
and directions there will be a handout in the CE office on the front desk.

FE Reviews
When signing up for
the FE Exam, here are some things to look for:
· Purchase
the "FE Civil Exam".
· Select
"Utah" as your State.
· Continue
with check-out and pay for the exam. You pick the date for your FE Exam later.
· After
the order is processed, you will be able to select your test date and location.
